Hello, Mrs. Moon! As you are the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Barchant, today I would like to ask you a few questions about the current situation with the coronavirus worldwide.

Which country's anti- coronavirus policy do you like more?

Being the Foreign Minister, I like the policy of Sweden. Sweden's strategy is the responsibility of each person. The local health system and policy-makers still hope that the country will be able to stop the spread of the coronavirus without draconian measures. The authorities do not offer the population strict orders, they give recommendations. They include advice to stay at home for elderly and unhealthy people, avoid unnecessary travel, work from home and wash hands. And people pay heed to their government. In Sweden, there is generally a high level of public confidence in the government

How are the diplomatic relations of the KNB developing in the context of the coronavirus spread?

Despite the spread of coronaviral infection, the Foreign Ministry keeps working. In March and April, we’ve reached agreements and signed contracts with 4 virtual states: Kingdom of Montevert, The Empire of Angyalistan, Free State of Sabini, United Principities of Lochaber and Glencoe.

What measures are other virtual states taking under the pandemic?

Some virtual states do not display any activity at all, apparently, they are preoccupied with quarantine (I’m kidding). Others, like Westarctica, give general recommendations to their citizens. But Liberland participates in helping to solve the problem of coronavirus very actively, it has even created "Liberland Coronavirus Response Center". They engage volunteers to help those in need of masks, food and medicine, they even have a mobile application that shows infected people nearby on a map, if they use this app, and it's completely anonymous! The Kingdom of North Barchant is not out of the swim as well. We and our citizens participate in various charitable events and we tell our citizens about this on our website and in social networking sites.

Do you think it is correct to blame China for the emergence and spread of the virus, and to claim for compensation?

It is the United States that blames China for the spread and emergence of the coronavirus. Undoubtedly, there is political motivation for this. It makes economic sense for America. China blames the United States too, and it is also related to politics. I believe that there is no clear  evidence to these claims now, therefore the Kingdom of North Barchant does not support the accusations against anyone.

What is the future of the Kingdom in your opinion? Will KNB be affected by quarantine?

In these hard times, we are trying to unite our citizens, we support and assist those in need, and we hope that this and other actions of us will awake an echo in people’s hearts. The Kingdom will become stronger and more popular in the future. We are making every effort to this.

KNB is in the virtual space, and I think that people are interested in many different things and spend a lot of time on the Internet. So, yes, I think quarantine will give an opportunity for someone to learn about us.

What are the positive aspects of the coronavirus?

People have started thinking more. They have time for it now. Thinking and analyzing are always good. The planet and nature should take a break from people, clean up a little, because, unfortunately, people haven’t wanted and haven’t thought that we are a single whole with nature and a virus could affect our lives in such a way. But, I think that we’ll have a favorable prognosis, everything will work out over time and we’ll draw some, i.e. that we need to love and take care of our loved ones, communicate more in a positive way and blame someone less.
